The Import and Export Coordinator will be the key player in the logistics department. The latter should have a good understanding of Incoterms 2010, import and export procedures. He/she should coordinate with the management, account and sales team for ongoing and new orders.
Imports
- Request for quotes from suppliers
- Request for quotes from freight forwarders and shipping lines
- Freight analysis
- Raise overseas orders
- Supervise properly all filing
- Chase for shipping documents(Invoice, Packing list, BL/AWB, Certificate of Conformity)
- Prepare documents for customs clearance
- Monitor timely payment to suppliers, freight forwarders and shipping lines
Exports
- Booking with shipping lines and freight forwarders
- Raise loading lists
- Coordinate transport, inspection and stuffing
- Tally loading lists after stuffing
- Raise commercial invoices and packing lists
- Submit shipping instructions to forwarders
- Monitor customs clearance with clerks/assistants
- Send pre-alert to customers
- Courier original set documents
