The role is to complete service requests/Run As is accounts/ implementation set-up/ Migration & Conversions accurately, efficiently and within the required deadlines.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
The role is to complete service requests/Run As is accounts/ implementation set-up/ Migration & Conversions accurately, efficiently and within the required deadlines. 

Key Responsibilities:
• Effectively plan and manage own workload.
• Validating and inputting all data received to agreed deadlines.
• Checking inputted data and making all relevant corrections before the live run of payrolls/services.
• Ensuring all tasks associated with payrolls or implementations are performed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Communicating effectively to customers (internal & external) on an appropriate basis.
• Assisting Team Leader with the coaching and developing of less experienced team members.
• Contribute effectively to Team Meetings, completing tasks and giving updates where necessary. 
• Provision and delivery of their performance statistics to the team member on a monthly basis to meet team leader reporting requirements. 
• Identify opportunities to advise and inform other colleagues. 
• Supporting and sharing knowledge with colleagues to contribute to the effectiveness of the team and to acheive the location's success. This may include providing cover for other team members as and when necessary.


EXPERIENCE:
• Experience of working in a volume based payroll operations environment.
• Demonstrable written and verbal communication skills using a variety of media dependant on the situation.
• Minimum Diploma Degree level of education or equivalent, preferably including Maths and/or Accounting.
• Excellent customer service with various forms of communication.
• Computer Literate: Word & Excel.
• Very flexible to cover Canada hours (Night Shift).


OTHERS
The Payroll Specialist II participates in all stages of the implementation lifecycle (discovery, configuration, testing, transfer to service), under the direction of the Implementation Manager, and may lead one or more activities. Project responsibilities include; gathering customer requirements, configuring the Ceridian Powerpay solution to meet documented customer requirements, setting and managing customer expectations, providing guidance to Associate Consultants, identifying risks and communicating issues to the Implementation Manager.
