RESPONSIBILITIES
• Take reservation for guests, check table reservation and escorts guests to their table and seats them and ensure guests are seated in allocated tables
• Converse with guests to obtain feedback and suggestion for improvement
• Identifie any particular requirements customers may have
• Provide facilities to guests by supplying information on the restaurants
• Communicate guests’, visitors’ or repeaters’ preference of meals, drinks, cocktails and special requirements (e.g. allergies)
• Handle customer efficiently through appropriate interaction and action and/or referral to Management
• Ensure that guests complaints are communicated to immediate superior
• Increase sales by making suggestions, answering guests’ questions about the theme evenings, à la carte” or menu and making use of suggestive selling techniques
• Ensure proper billing and cashiering is done as and when required
• Attend daily briefings and receives instructions from superiors concerning the daily planning of the outlet that he/she is assigned to work for
• Check and confirms all reservations and records them in the appropriate logbook
• Administer and works on Guest History of guests’ particular requirements
• Check any special events
• Help waiters in their daily activities
EXPERIENCE
• Basic theoritical knowledge (secondary level) and/or prior professional experience in the related field
• At least 6 months work-related experience
• Fluent in English and French, a third language would be an advantage
