General Cashier

 

Responsibilities:

•           Maintains accounting records by making copies; filing documents.

•           Reconciles bank statements by comparing statements with general ledger.

•           Maintains accounting databases by entering data into the computer; processing backups.

•           Verifies financial reports by running performance analysis software program.

•           Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

•           Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

•           Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

•           Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department

•           Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records

•           Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements

•           Reconcile accounts in a timely manner

•           Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database

•           Provide assistance and support to company personnel

•           Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies

•           Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas

•           Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws

•           Prepare and submit customer invoices

•           Monitor customer accounts for nonpayment and delayed payment

•           Check, verify and process invoices

•           Prepare payments for signature

•           Maintain vendor files

•           Update, verify and maintain accounting journals and ledgers and other financial records

•           Assist in month end reporting procedures

•           Track and audit petty cash

•           Perform filing and general administrative tasks

•           Ensure all cash disbursement have proper approval from the Financial Controller.

•           Manage remittances received by the Hotel following procedures.

•           Prepare and make bank deposits.

•           Safeguard the General Cashier’s Cash Float.

•           Control and manage foreign currencies.

•           Prepare the daily General Cashier report and cash position.

 

Experience:

•           HSC or ACCA Level 1.

•           Experience in the same field will be an advantage.

•           Degree or relevant certification is a plus

•           Knowledge of accounting software will be an advantage
