- Assist the Food & Beverage Director in training, coaching team members to achieve high quality level of service at all times
Is responsible for continually focusing on achieving:

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the Food and Beverage Service operational activities.
- Assist the Food & Beverage Director in developing and implementing F&B strategies,to continuously increase sales and revenue, and maintain competitive and leading edge.
- Implement guidelines, policies, and procedures , and ensure all administration procedures and SOPs are strictly followed and adhered to by team members.
- Ensure guests’ beverages and food are prepared and served according to the hotel’s standards at all times.
- Supervise duties and responsibilities of employees, implement job allocations and ensurean effective assistance to guests.
- Delegate and manage distribution of workload effectively and efficiently at all times.
- Guide operations and establish a work environment to achieve set goals and objectives.
- Communicate effectively through various methods such as regular briefings/meetings and individual discussions.
- Manage team and participate actively in Performance Management, Talent Management and Retention including Motivation, and Disciplinary actions and Learning and Development.
- Conduct daily briefings with team members on current key activities.
- Compile records and statistics on food cost and revenues, analyse fluctuation, in case of lowprofit or cost ratio too high and action accordingly.
- Show optimal knowledge of the financial aspects of the food and beverages operations,including: operating within the budget requirements, and successfully identifying expense reduction through cost control.
- Establish and maintain excellent business relations with Food and Beverages Suppliers.
- Pay attention to details in all aspects of the customer journey.
- Ensure that the procedures and rules for billing are strictly adhered to.
- Manage performance issues that arise.
- Is an integral part of the business team, attend all scheduled meetings and contribute actively with proper preparation.
- Evaluate changes in guest needs, the guest mix and competitive set and recommend appropriate product/service and operational changes as necessary.
- Ensure guests’ and ambassadors’ satisfaction, while maintaining market competitiveness and exceptional financial performance.
- Anticipate and address guests’ issues and establish proactive processes to promote guest satisfaction.
- Be an inspiration to all hotel staff to achieve luxury levels of performance.
- Perform the appropriate Sofitel ritual/s pertaining to the outlet/area/universe.
- Interact in a positive way with other departments to ensure a luxury guest experience.
- Ensure the achievement of luxury levels of performance and of luxury guests experience at all times.
- Participate in community and professional organizations to maintain high visibility andpromote a positive image
- Must be an example of the Sofitel Values, brand standards, and a champion of grooming and appearance guidelines.
Candidate Profile:
- Diploma in Hotel/Tourism Management or any related/equivalent qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years Food and Beverage Managerial experience, preferably in the luxury setting
- A good understanding of overall hotel business
- Must have sound knowledge of Food & Beverage product
- Excellent leadership skills, customer care, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Must have strong decision making skills
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to train and develop team members
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take initiative
- Excellent organizational skills
- Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software)
- Good knowledge of Cost Control System; Stock Control System; POS System
- Some knowledge of Accounts and Accounting System
