•Professionally qualified Accountant (ACCA – FCCA – CIMA) • At least 5 years experience in Finance and Accounting
Establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation; compile the annual budget (assists the HOD in the preparation of budgets)
Prepare Business Units’ balance sheets and strategic plan
Manage the day-to-day functioning of the debit and/or credit and/or Control and/or store operations and purchasing
Ensure compliance with tax payment, reporting and other requirements
Develop, maintain and analyse budgets, prepare periodic reports comparing budgeted costs to actual costs.
Monitor capital & operational expenditure and ensure budget adherence
Ensure all relevant audits recommendations are implemented and adopted within standard procedures
Establish and maintain hotel accounting systems and SOPs, make recommendations on the implementation of same to increase efficiency and profitability, establish and maintain effective accounting controls
Provide to external auditors all statutory information
Monitor the financial effectiveness systems and controls
Ensure that quarterly, half yearly and yearly packs are done
Ensure the efficient and effective management of the company's finances and compliance with statutory requirements
