Financial Accountant

The United Basalt Products Ltd is seeking to recruit a passionate Financial Accountant.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the Group’s financial statements in accordance with IFRS and prevailing accounting standards
• Coordinate and prepare the monthly and quarterly accounts consolidation and publication process
• Drive the preparation of yearly budgets/forecasts
• Ensure timely  submission of statutory returns
• Lead and manage the group external audit exercise
• Lead and mentor skills development of departmental staff

Candidate profile

• Full ACCA graduate
• MSc in Finance/ Risk Management / MBA or an equivalent qualification will be an advantage
• Experience of at least 5 years’ in a similar post in a business with a turnover above Rs.1B)
• Prior experience in the finance department in the manufacturing industry would be an advantage 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both in English and French
• Proficiency in MsOffice, with an ability to produce both high-level and in-depth analytical reports
• An innovative and creative problem solver with high interpersonal skills
• ‘Can Do’ Attitude, detail-conscious, good organizational skills and entrepreneurial ability are essential
