LUX* Resorts & Hotels is hiring for the position of Conference & Banquet Supervisor for LUX* Grand Gaube.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible to:                                                                                     
1) Meet the organisers of conferences, banquets and other events.                                                                                                                    
2) Facilitate an promote special events.                                                       
3) Maintain good communications with the Events department and and all operational depts at the resort.                                                      
4) Ensure that the meeting room(s) is always clean and tidy and et up to the required specifications.                                             
5) Ensure that events organisers receive good and prompt service. 

QUALIFICATIONS
 
1) At least School Certificate or equivalent qualifications.
2) National Certificate Level 4 in Restaurant and Bar Operations or equivalent qualifications.
3) Tertiary education at Advanced Certificate or Diploma level in Event Management or Hospitality Management or Food & Beverage from a recognised institution.
EXPERIENCE 
 
1) A minimum of 5 years of working experience in Food & Beverage operations preferably in a 5 star resort.
2) A minimum of 2  years of working experience in Food & Beverage and Catering operations.                                               
3) Prior woking experience in Event Management would be a definite advantage.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
1) High levels of integrity.
2) Passionate about service.
3) Creative and innovative skills.                                                            
4) Excellent organistaional and administrative skills.                  
5) Strong leadership skills.                                                                      
6) Strong negotiation skills and can-do-attitude.
7) Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French. A third language will be a definite advantage.
8)Willingness to work during odd hours, weekends as well as on Public Holidays.                                                                            
9)Valid Food Handlers’ Certificate.                                                            
10)A clean certificate of character is a must.
