Is responsible for directing and coordinating storekeeping and inventory control activities.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Is responsible for directing and coordinating storekeeping and inventory control activities.
  • Supervise employees engaged in the receipt, storage, inventorying and issuance of supplies, materials and equipment.
  • Implement inventory procedures to effectively control and minimize loss of store items.
  • Apply the policies and procedures of procurement.
  • Assist in the objective of cost control and maintain records for auditing purposes.
  • Update and maintain the minimum and maximum stock levels for approved products in a timely manner. 
  • Be aware of the fluctuations in the consumption pattern and be proactive with slow moving and non-moving items.
  • Maintain the cleanliness in the store area and respect the standard in storing. To ensure SGS guidelines are abided to at all times.
  • Verify all the incoming goods against the receiving records.  
  • Issue supplies only on authorised requests and maintain updated inventory records.
  • Ensure the store items are not accessible during closing hours of the store/s without the Duty / Night Manager’s approval and ensure that records of happenings during closing hours of the store/s are communicated to Management the next working day.
  • To complete all documentation and take the necessary action in cases of non-delivery or substandard items.
  • Perform regular inventory verifications for quantities, product quality and expiration date for items stored as per process established.
  • Perform monthly inventories for all products stored.
  • Inspect the storage of beverage items in outlets on a regular basis as per process established.
  • Assist the Cost Controller for inventory reconciliation.  
  • Maintain files and records updated (department requisitions, inventory, return goods notices, food safety data follow up sheet for spoilage and damaged items).
  • Issue report of expiring date for products on a regular basis.

 

Candidate Profile

  • 5 years of inventory control and storekeeping experience where 2 years are in supervisory role.
  • Minimum Higher School Certificate with Maths and Accounts.
  • Advanced knowledge of storeroom Management methods, practices and procedures for receiving, storing and issuing materials and supplies.
  •  Proven knowledge of inventory and control methods, practices and procedures.
  • Good knowledge of applicable computer software packages and applications.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Good critical thinking and time management skills.
  • Able to work under tight deadlines and adapt easily to operational requirements.
