Automation Test Engineer

We are looking for someone having a background in development using C# who wants to become an Automation test engineer.

Job Summary

 
Reporting to the Development Manager, the Software Test Engineer is a coder who is primarily responsible for creating automated tests and improving code testability. You are passionate about software quality and enjoy refactoring code to make it simpler. You enjoy working as a team to identify which areas of the application to focus our testing efforts and increase code coverage. The test code that you write will help determine if the software is ready for customer release.

As a Test Engineer

• You will identify test conditions then design and create relevant Automated Test Cases and Test Scenarios which will effectively exercise the software under test.
• You will architect and enhance the automation testing framework using the latest technologies
• You will write strategic code for UI and back end to test different software modules.
• You will write scripts to run the automated test suite
• You will analyze test results and maintain nightly runs to improve the areas with higher defect trends
• You will manage test reporting, defect resolution, results analysis and metrics
• You will actively participate in continuous quality improvements
• You will actively participate in code reviews
• You will find ways to break the code and prevent issues
• You will execute regression, stress and load tests.

Qualifications 

• Good coding skills in C# / Java
• Good knowledge of object oriented programming
• Deep knowledge of internet technologies
• Solid experience with test automation tools such as FitNesse, Selenium, Robotium
• Experience testing at the API level
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
• Proficiency with SQL and an understanding of relational database system
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Inquisitive attitude and good problem solving skills
• Experience doing cross browser testing and Mobile devices is a plus.
• Experience working with HCM solutions is a plus.
