Negotiate, draft, counsel and settle legal documentation and represent and defend Emtel at Legal forums by cost effective fulfilment of litigation obligations in order to provide legal protection to Emtel and mitigate current/ future legal risks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum University Degree in Law (LLB)
- LLM , Bar Vocational Course and/or Attorney at law
Preferred Experience :
- Experience in litigation; creation and exploitation of knowledge bank, consolidation of written legal opinions obtained from outside counsels
- Minimum of 5 years in commercial practice. Knowledge of the telecommunication law and practice will be an added advantage
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Draft and subsequently settle contracts and legal documents to reflect the understanding of all the parties involved
- Negotiate on behalf of Emtel to obtain the best possible outcome and protect Emtel interest
- Act as a legal advisor and advice internal parties regarding legal issues and risks to ensure that internal parties are able to make informed decisions
- Represent and protect Emtel interest at various legal forums and litigations to ensure that Emtel is legally protected
