LUX* Resorts & Hotels is hiring for the position of Assistant Food & Beverage Manager for LUX* Grand Gaube.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible to:                                                                                
1) Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in planning, implementing, organising and co-ordinating the smooth and efficient day to day operations of the Food & Beverage department.
2) Communicate with Guests as well as ensure that service quality standards and Guest satisfaction are maintained at all times.
3) Develop knowledge and competencies of subordinates by providing on-the-job training, coaching and as well as conducting performance evaluations.
4)Maximise upselling opportunities in the Food & Beverage outlets.                                                                                                                              
5) Assist the Food & Beverage Manager to prepare reports and compile records on Food & Beverages' cost and revenues.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
1) At least Higher School Certificate or equivalent qualifications.
2) National Certificate Level 4 or 5 in Restaurant and Bar Operations or equivalent qualifications.
3) Tertiary education at Diploma or Degree level majoring in Hospitality Management from a recognised institution or equivalent qualifications.
 
WORK EXPERIENCE:
1) A minimum of 5 years of working experience in the hospitality industry.                                                      
2) A minimum of 2 years of working experience as Outlet  Manager (Restaurant/Bar/Room Service) in a 5 star luxury resort.                                      
3) Experience in the pre-opening of resorts will be a definite advantage.

7)Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.                                                                                                      
8) Excellent command of Food & Beverage service Management.                                                                                        
9) Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills, performing work accurately and efficiently.                                         
10) Strong financial and analytical skills.                                   
11)Excellent written and communication skills in both English and French languages. A third language would be a definite advantage.                                                                 
12)Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Package.                                                                                                      
13) Willingness to work during odd hours, weekends as well as on Public Holidays.
14) Valid Food Handlers’ Certificate.
15) A clean certificate of character is a must.
