To provide the accounting and office management function and experience
to contribute to the profitable development and financial results of the Group.
Role Definition:
• To provide the accounting and office management function and experience to contribute to the profitable development and financial results of the Group.
Key Responsibilities
• To manage office and related facilities (equipment, refreshments, etc.).
• Monitor and manage all finance related activities including:
• Preparation and processing of all required journal entries.
• Preparation of account reconciliations and follow up on all reconciling items on a timely basis.
• Preparation and maintenance of the cash book, fixed asset register and payroll.
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts and tracking actual performance against budget and forecast.
• Preparation of KPI analysis (including related commentary).
• Preparation of monthly financials.
• Preparation of annual financial statements.
• To complete required projects as assigned by Management.
• To create and compile reports for both financial and operational performance
of the business.
• To interact with stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
• Qualified ACCA, ACA or equivalent.
• At least 5 years’ financial services accounting experience.
• Previous experience in a similar position and/or in a work related field.
Other Requisites
• Good knowledge of IFRS and Mauritian and South African taxation.
• Mastering MS Office and accounting packages such as Pastel.
• Understanding of PCC/cell captive business arrangements.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to operate independently and according to deadlines.
• Fluent in English and French (Oral and written).
