Our client, banking sector is looking for an Accountant – Trust.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Main Responsibilities:

•    Input of data in the SAP system for the company and other Trust legal entities in order to have correct and complete data in the reporting system.
•    Provides information to Management about the current level of income, cost analysis, productivity, income and cost fluctuation
•    Assist in the billing process in order to produce accurate and timely invoices
•    Perform database mining activities requested by third parties and approved by Head of Product Accounting
•    Act as the liaison for the MAU and JSY Trust Companies.
•    Liaison with the Group Finance Department in order to provide accurate and timely information for consolidation purposes but also explanations for variances
•    Maintain an early warning system in order to alert the Management Team in respect of operational and financial issues which might arise in the future
•    Develop in conjunction with the Head of the Trust & Fiduciary Division in Jersey and Mauritius and Head of Product Accounting and Head of Finance plans to improve business performances and processes
•    Maintain an awareness of and comply with all anti-money laundering laws, regulations, policies and procedures relevant to the Bank

Qualifications:

•    Minimum of 4 years’ experience dealing with general accounting requirements;
•    Qualified/Part qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent or studying towards an accounting/finance qualification preferable;

Candidate Profile:

•    Has basic knowledge of companies and trusts in various jurisdictions
•    Must be able to demonstrate good Excel skills;
•    Is fluent in English, both written and spoken.
•    Requires the analytical and financial skills of an accountant or other financial services related experience;
